Developing Color Negative Film

  • 722 Sumner Spring Lane Chapel Hill (map)

In this 1/2-day workshop, students learn how to develop their color negative film. Prepare by purchasing and shooting 2 rolls of 35mm or 1 roll of 120/medium format color negative (C-41 process) film. Bring your exposed film to the workshop and go through the process of developing it.

While the film dries, we look through PHOTO FARM’s collection of photobooks and magazines and discuss our findings. We examine color photographs in print: likes, dislikes and everything in between. At the end of our time together, we make lo-res scans of your film strips to go (please bring your thumb drive).

Parental consent required for children under 18 years old (minimum age is 15).
